Digestive issues are everywhere


Digestive issues
 include mild, temporary cases of lactose or gluten intolerance to more serious, chronic conditions such as Crohn’s disease and ulcers and so many people have them in some shape or form. Mild or maybe severe.

I write about this because both my  kids (see my bloated boy in photo) had digestive issues. So did I – and still do – in some ways. We’ve since recovered and restored the majority of our digestion with B.E.D.

Digestive and gut issues go by different names, but they have 2 things in common…yeast overgrowth and leaky gut syndrome. When a yeast infection is left untreated, the yeast can develop intocolonies that root into the intestinal walls and this makes the intestinal/gut lining porous  and leaky.

It’s kind of like your gut is a bucket with holes in it. This means that undigested or partially digested food particles AND harmful toxins emitted from the bad yeast cross through the lining and into the bloodstream which cooletely messes with the immune system. As you know the digestive and immune system are really one system. It’s pretty rare to find a gut issue without finding a brain issue and vice versa.

I have studied this topic in depth and myself have mental/digestive issues and find that when I work on one I feel relief in the other. Weird to think about, but true. I see so many parents remove sugar from their kid’s diet and find they are now able to focus much better on tasks. Same goes for adults who let go of coffee…they feel more mentally calm.

While some digestive issues might not seem to mess with your digestion, they may still be interrelated. Take hemorrhoids, which are inflamed, clotted blood vessels in the anal region. These guys may not disrupt the process of digestion, but they’re usually related to the overall well-being of the digestive tract. They can also be a nuisance and quite often painful.

Restoring good digestion takes effort and self-discipline and patience, but it’s quite possibly an important thing to do.

Strong digestion can keep your immune system strong…

Creating a balanced and strong digestive system is one of the best forms of defense you have against disease. This is because as much as 80% of the immune system is housed right there along the digestive tract.

The immune system works day and night and sometimes overtime to break down hard-to-digest foods; repair damaged tissue in the gut; and keep pathogens in control. It can also get exhausted. So, if you start getting some of the above issues then give your immune system a break with an immune-friendly diet (like B.E.D).

There are ways of eating that can let this part of you calm down a bit. To have time to rest and recuperate and get strong so that it can once again pour its energy into the work it’s primarily designed for…to cleanse and heal itself.

Certain food and ways of combining that food plays a big role in self-correcting a digestive disorder. They have the potential to restore homeostasis and get you feeling alkaline again with a body that can self-regulate and keep bad bacteria/yeast in check and heal gut damage.
