The perfect treat for a hot summer morning and a sneaky way to get gelatin into kids! I created this recipe while on Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D) to heal yeast overgrowth. My kids were doing this gut healing diet too and this recipe is me getting creative to find more foods that did not include sugar, even sugar from fruit 🙂
When you are on a healing diet to balance the body, whether from cancer, yeast, bacteria, or a virus you want to avoid fruit that contains natural sugar as this will feed the excess pathogens in the body (i.e. yeast overgrowth). The exceptions to this rule are acidic fruits like lemons, limes, acai, sour green apples, black currants, cranberries, and pomegranates …. hence this recipe.
