Lakanto – Sweet stuff for people with diabetes, Candida, & gut issues


I found lakanto when I started The Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D.) to reverse my systemic yeast overgrowth. This sugar substitute that doesn’t feed harmful pathogens living in your body (i.e. GBS+, Candida, viruses) nor does it acidify the blood. Lakanto is also a safe sweetener for diabetics.

What is Lakanto Made From?

The 2 ingredients in Lakanto are non-GMO erythritol and the extract of luo han guo fruit.

#1) Erythritol

A sugar alcohol naturally found in grapes, pears, mushrooms, soy sauce, cheese, wine, and beer. It’s been part of the human diet for thousands of years.

Erythritol is different than other sugar alcohols because it’s made by fermenting the sugar that’s in corn. Many people get diarrhea, bloating, and gas after they eat food sweetened with sugar alcohol. This is usually because they’re hydrogenated. Lakanto isn’t known to cause digestive issues – this may be because it’s made with a natural fermentation process.

#2) Luo han guo

A sweet fruit with a ton of health properties (i.e. anti-carcinogenic, regulate blood sugar, decrease oxidative stress, prevent tooth decay, anti-inflammatory, inhibit tumor growth, antioxidant, antihistamine).

Lakanto has both luo han guo and erythritol and is one of the healthiest sweeteners that’s been discovered in centuries.
